Running Career

Serving in the U.S. Army has opened many doors in my career, one is the love of running. Although running has always been part of my life while serving as a Soldier, it was in 2015 when running became something I enjoyed and pursued to improve. Since the start of my pursuit in achieving my optimal potential, I have had to overcome many challenges. Today I continue to love the sport and continue to compete in a variety of distances, from the 5k to the marathon.

Army Ten MiLer

2019 Army Ten Miler: First Army Ten Miler, finished in 1:04:46. Overcoming a IT Band/Hamstring Injury. This is the race I decided to make the Army Ten Miler a annual tradition with Adriana. 60th in age group, 447 overall.

2020 Army Ten Miler: This was virtual at Fort Bliss due to the COVID Pandemic. Finished 1st overall with a time of 59:43. First time I broke the one hour mark. 8th in age group, 61st overall.

2021 Army Ten Miler: This was virtual at Fort Bliss due to the 2nd year of the COVID Pandemic. Finished 1st overall with a time of 58:59. 3rd in age group, 50th overall.

2022 Army Ten Miler: First in person race at Washington DC after the COVID pandemic. Excellent race and weather. Finish time 57:30, 3rd in age group, 67 overall.

2023 Army Ten Miler: Team placed fourth overall. Excellent race and weather. Finish time 56:18, 7th in age group, 81st overall.

2024 Army Ten Miler: Was unable to run this years ATM at DC due to the Deployment. Was able to complete the ATM Shadow Run in Kuwait. Placed 1st overall. Finish time was 1:01:26. Humid and hot.
